It's really sad to see all the sheep posting initial super positiv reviews for this garbage mobile port game simply because they were so dumb that they thought it was the original release being re-released.

Shame on you all for blindly posting such crap fooling people to buy a crappy port

You've been here since 2010, surely you know that many reviews are based on nostalgia and rose-tinted glasses. That said, the highest-rated reviews now are noting that it's a "crappy port".

EDIT: Actually the top 9 or 12 reviews are all critical.

I've been waiting for GOG to release this game ever since I heard that GOG existed. I grabbed it as soon as it appeared here, and only afterward looked at the reviews. Oops.

I've never known GOG to do something like this before. I hope they're able to fix it later, and eventually give us all our money's worth.
Quite disappointing to say the least that it wasn't either the DOS or Windows that was being released.
Certainly hope they fix this one up by giving us those versions instead later.
You have to make room for the possibility that the devs embellished the ratings before the shitstorm.

Every new release on GOG has nostalgic reviews posted soon after it is added; this time it just happens to be a remake rather than the game in its original form.

I doubt it actually, some of the "Masterpiece of my childhood! 5/5 Stars! Instabuy!" reviewers on GOG and Steam have simply too many forum stars or Steam experience levels to be devs in disguise, some gamers simply blindly review first and play later.
Actually EARTH 2140 was first released as some crappy port, but they added original dos version later (after taking some flak because of it).
I hope this one will be same case and original will be added later.
Is there hope that the original DOS version will be added? It's an awesome game and I don't want to miss it because of a crappy mobile port...
I dont blame the few initial hopeful post's, no doubt based on their original games. Once people have actually tried this version then they will see its not working right.
Its more a sad reflection on GOG team who should have picked up on all these issues with the game and not released it in this form.
I suggest the developers and GOG contact the people at 'zzone.lewe.com' forum where a lot of work and discussion has gone on to get the game running on DOSBox, win XP, win 7 etc.

Lets hope they can get it running (hopefully with the 20 level expansion) as it was a great game.

August 23 2014.
Just downloaded GoGs latest version and its running fine (win 7). I just wish they now add the extra 20 levels from the original Z expansion. That would be great..

Not from what I heard back from Kiss, the publisher. :( However Tick Tock is working on updates for their version -

- New option for playing with right of left mouse configuration.
- Improved responsive mouse controls.
- Improved Auto-pan scrolling.
- Z Mini-Map opened automatically, with option to minimise.
- XP Support - we know that this will make some of you very happy indeed!

Would absolutely rock if they'd add the DOS-version and the Win95-version including Expansion Kit.
Think they've improved it with the two patches though, it isn't as bad as upon initial release. Still badly needs Multiplayer and some fixes though.
