What the issue is----
So I had the infamous issue with Origin where it's always pressing a directional button. You can tell because right when you launch the game, it keeps constantly scrolling through the menu options. I haven't made it past that but I've heard it also makes you walk. The game does not support Windows 10. More on that below.
My setup----
Windows 10 (The game is not rated for W10. It is for XP,7,8)
I want to use a Dualshock 4 and lately I've been doing so just by plugging in in through USB and trying to stay away from apps like DS4Windows. It works just fine that way on modern games that have proper support for it (Works better that way too as if I use DS4Windows some games show Xbox input....without the app, supporting games show Playstation inputs which is what I want.)
How I fixed it----
Make sure DS4Windows is running. (I know, I tried to not have to use this but it seems I do...)
Go to the YS Origin place in the folder it is saved in and go to its properties, go to compatibility settings and change it to run in Windows 8 mode.
So far it looks like this is working as it isn't auto scrolling anymore. That said, I haven't actually started playing yet but I hope that this workaround helps people out, not just for this game but possibly other games that were made for legacy Windows OSes.
*edit---
I want to add that if you play the Steam version, then you may not need the DS4Windows. Not sure but I believe Steam has some of its own features that make use of the Dualshock 4 and that may change how things work.
