There is a scene that is not present in the latest version offered by GOG. The cutscene is simply skipped, there is no bug report for this.

The first playthrought does not have these scenes unlocked yet. When you beat the game for the first time and play again all these extra scenes will be unlocked. Yeah i had the same thing and i played ys ii before.
