Hello everyone,

I realised that Ys Origin has a couple of broken achievements and wanted to collect them here. But I thought other people might run into similar issues with other achievements, maybe even for other games in the series. So It thought we start a thread an whoever finds something that is not working properly drops it here. In parallel I will contact the support team of course, because I do not think they will check here that frequently.

Ys Origin

Truly Gifted
Achievement unlocks to early. The player needs to obtain all blessings/uprgrades for all three character, but it unlocks when all blessings/upgrades for ONE character are obtained. So the rules seem to be indentical to the achievement "Count Your Blessing".

Never Mind the Hammer
Achievement doesn't unlock when the boss fo the Blighted Blood is defeated with all three characters as it should.

Some like it Hot
Achievement doesn't unlock when the boss fo the Guilty Fire is defeated with all three characters as it should.
This one seems to work for at least some players.

"Do You Work Out?"
Achievement doesn't unlock when the boss fo the Guilty Fire is defeated with all three characters as it should.

Thank you for being a Friend
Achievement doesn't unlock when the player has given Roda Fruit to all of the Roos with every character.

You Can't Blame a Girl for Trying
This achievement should get unlocked when you play throug the game as Yunica and Hugo (it is not missable as you must defeat Epona with Yunica and Vagullion with Hugo, and both fights are not skippable/missable). But it doesn unlock. Also for me the description is in French while all other achievements have my normal Galaxy language displayed (German for me).

The Uncivil War
This achievement should get unlocked when you defeat Toal with Hugo on Floor 25 and Hugo with Toal on the same floor. This one is not missable as well. But it doesn't unlock.

Ys I & II Chronicles+

Ys I: Esteria, We Hardly Knew Ye
Achievement does not unlock when you obtain all other achievements as it should.

Ys II: Set Sail For New Adventure
Achievement does not unlock when you obtain all other achievements as it should.

I'm playing through Origin with the third character right now. While "Some Like It Hot" did unlock for me, "Do You Work Out?" (Obtained by defeating the Wailing Blue end boss with all three characters) did not.

I will share 3 pieces of information:

1- YS I and YS II have an achievement whose objective is to obtain all other achievements in the games, and in both cases it is broken. To be more precise, I will inform the name:

YS I: Esteria, We Hardly Knew Ye
YS II: Set Sail For New Adventure

2- There is a general thread (https://www.gog.com/forum/general/list_of_broken_gog_achievements) about games with broken achievements on GOG, created by Alexim. There, there is a complete and organized list of all the games that have achievements with problems, and it is frequently updated thanks to community reports;

3- We also have a Discord channel (https://discord.gg/7gz4jZn) specifically to talk about broken achievements in GOG games, and it's even on this channel where we carry out small "operations" to contact developers for them to make corrections. We have already achieved several victories, including I myself have already been answered by a representative of Xseed about the problems with the achievements of YS. Unfortunately nothing has been resolved yet, but at least we got a response that they were aware of the issue and would try to resolve it.

That said, feel invited to join these networks, both in the forum thread and in our Discord channel.

Thank you for the reply, I am aware of the general broken achievements thread and also active in the Discord channel.That is where I got the tipp to open a thread in the games forum to raise more awarenes. Will add your mentioned achievements to my list.

An update for Ys Origin has just been released. This is probably a vain hope, but perhaps the broken achievements have been repaired as well?
