Hello.
I recently acquired Ys VI, VII and VIII here on GOG.
Started playing through Ark of Napishtim and no problem so far. The next day I noticed my save didn't contain the last hour of gameplay, like I've never played it. I shrugged it off and played it again.

Now the same problem happened again: my save didn't register some of the playtime/events/everything I did yesterday weren't saved. I finished playing at level 12, right after entering Cannan Plains and now my save is level 10 right before even entering Port Rimorge.

I need some help to prevent it from happening as it will feel like a chore to play through this game.

Probably it has something to do with the cloud saves... You can try and disable them if you launch the game from galaxy or you can launch the game directly from the .exe file located in the games installation folder.

Thanks. I'll try disabling the cloud saves and launching the DX9 game version.

Yeah... no save problems so far but GOG doesn't recognize the achievements. Any workaround for this?

Open galaxy go to settings then game features and then uncheck the cloud save option (See picture attached) ...After you complete the game don't forget to enable it again in case you want cloud saves for other games

Thank you very much! It's now working.
Too bad I finished the game and just got the last achievements while missing all the others.

No problem glad it worked. Don't forget to enable cloud saves again if you care.
Also don't worry about achievements too much because the game I believe requires multiple playthroughs to get most of the achievements
