I just hope they are also going to fix the GOG Galaxy problems with this patch. That post is on the Steam forums and they don't even bother posting here so I'm not even sure if they are paying attention or care. There's a sticky thread at the top of the GOG forum with one post from a dev on April 11. They didn't even respond to my question I asked in that thread so anybody's guess at this point.

They released an update on their update with still no release date. Has concrete info about what the update includes. Unsurprisingly not a single mention of the GOG Galaxy bug.

its team 17 what did you expect

they dont care about gog user at all

every game i own from them over here @gog gets patches like 6 months - 1 year later
they dont give a damn about gog

sheltered for example is 1.4 over here on gog while its 1.6 on steam with 1.7 comming soon
even 1.4 came like 4-6 months later

i dont buy team 17 games anymore until there is a deep sale ... even on steam

yeah game development is hard and everything takes longer than you think but it cant be THAAAAT hard to offer existing patches to all places where you sell games

go home team 17 you are drunk

Got a backer email saying the big patch is now available (for Steam of course). Log into GOG Galaxy and nope, no update for us yet. Patch notes mention a couple GOG fixes so something should be going live (I hope), but not one of them listed were the issue of enemies not dying when you try to kill them. I'm really hoping that issue is fixed because it's probably the biggest game breaking bug if you want to use GOG Galaxy. We'll see if they actually do care about GOG users once this patch finally goes live. There's no reason to not have parity with releasing the updates on GOG and Steam. If the update is finished, push it out on both platforms.
Yeah. The PR and communication has been absolutely awful for this game. Even after bringing it to their attention, there is still no word here. This is hugely disappointing and an embarrassment for them.

Taken from the steam forums:

"Any ETA on the GoG version?"

"A couple of days, all going well."

Here's my post copy and pasted from the Steam version of the game since the developers check in there(unlike seemingly here on GOG):

Seriously guys, what the heck is going on with the GOG patch/update? And the Nintendo Switch version? Plain english please. When is a "couple days" for you guys because in the states at least, it usually means 2 which would mean the patch will go live today on GOG. Also, just come out and give us a darn update on where the Nintendo Switch version is! Don't beat around the bush here. Be upfront instead of talking like a politician. Are we talking 3 days for it? A month? Are you having development issues with it? I ask because a) I backed the Nintendo Switch version and I'm empty handed still. b) bought the GOG version but stopped playing because of the issues and now want to play and we don't have the freaking patch yet!!! I seriously think you guys should give the Nintendo Switch owners some type of bonus for having to wait so long for it. Be it free sound track or another game. It's a charming game but not in a state I want to play it in. Come on you jolly blokes and give us Nintendo Switch and GOG version users some love! Cheers!

Sniskerbobberton: Perhaps GOG are testing said patch/update? Although, Team17 are renowned for shafting GOG users, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes weeks to get here.
That shouldn't impact the patch from being released to Galaxy users. Devs can now release directly to users without any testing by GOG. Only the standalone installers are impacted due to testing and the patch is currently not on Galaxy.

If this patch is late, then it's most likley squarly on the devs as GOG has completly improved their patching process.

I imagine it may be due to the GOG build having some issues not in the Steam build. Some of the fixes may also require changes to Galaxy features/API so that could be why they need a few more days.

Still not a good excuse though as patches should be released at the same time, but I can understand not wanting to hold up releasing on Steam if the GOG build needs a little extra work.
I'm biding my time to wait for this update before I leave a 1 star review. I want to see how long it actually takes to get the update and if it even fixes the biggest bug in the game that was never mentioned in the patch notes. Not that they care about reviews on GOG. They don't even really care if the GOG version is broken.
This game was awesome, and I've been waiting for the update to release so I can speedrun it. I don't mind waiting a couple days for the update to hit GOG, especially since it seems that Galaxy affects the game in different ways than I would've expected, but I'm hoping the update isn't deprioritized just because there are fewer people who bought it on this platform.
I don't mind waiting for the update, I have my hands full right now with the Witcher trilogy. But I would really like for the developer to just post a simple "working on it", that would show that they haven't forgotten us GOG'ers.
