Hi there!
Just in case anyone is feeling as frustrated as I was:
I checked the Playtonic Twitter, and all the Kickstarter codes, on all platforms, are allowing pre-loading, but not playing - that's reserved for launch day, which is next Tuesday. So no-one's playing, it's not just us. The reason I guess we can't preload (the way the others can) is that GOG, as a DRM-free platform, wouldn't have any way to stop us from playing the game. Since that's what Playtonic intends for all platforms including ours, no pre-downloads on GOG.
So we'll be downloading on Tuesday to play on the same day ;)
As it happens, I suspect we wouldn't really want to play in advance of Tuesday, particularly on PC, as there's a pretty substantial Day 1 patch which apparently improves not just performance, but also the camera behaviour quite a few early reviews have complained about.
Hope that helps allay any 'Am I supposed to be able to play this' / 'Argh, my download's borken-de-borken'-type anxieties, such as the ones I was feeling about half an hour ago!
See you on Tuesday, and I hope you enjoy this game we've all been waiting for, when you finally get your hands on it!
All the best,
Rab.
