I know these forums are dead and the chances of an official rep seeing these are slim, but is there any chance we'll see the beta balance update on GOG at all?

Did the balance update end up coming out? I've been waiting for it to come out before I played YIIK...

No idea. I beat it a while back and asked on their discord with no answer.

Greaaaaaat. I've been holding out on playing it until all of the bugs were fixed and the balance patch was out... Maybe I'll reach out to ACKKStudios on Twitter and see if they respond at all.

Not sure what others experience, but I'm 12 hours into the game and had no troubles with bugs so far.

Bug fix wise, there's not a lot of major or showstopping bugs. The main things were the balance tweaks and overall gameplay speed changes that were suppose to be added.

That said, I played a bit of the switch version, and things didn't seem that different, so it's probably not a big deal.

It's also possible we got it but the versioning wasn't changed correctly. I know Wuppo is now the GOTY version but there wasn't even a notification of its release, for example, so something similar might have happened with YIIK.

As far as I know, the balance update "silently" came out on Jan 28th, 2019.

The reason why I call it silently is that they announce the patch on Twitter, but not they did not announce it on their official website, official blog post nor Steam's announcement page.

Because of that, some people legit though that [PC Version] hasn't been updated since February 2019 and was waiting for the patch to come out on all PC Platforms so that they could buy it (or redownload the game).

the worst part is that, as of September 6th, 2019, the GOG Version hasn't receive any updates since then. (and by any updates, i mean GOG Version is stuck on the Day 1 Build of the game)

But, there's good news, Ackk Studios is currently working on a new patch that plans to make significant gameplay improvements and plans to be released on all versions of the game. Hopefully, GOG Users will get the patch.

Otherwise, YIIK will have to be added to "Games on GOG that is outdated compared to the Steam version" List.
