Just started a new game of Yakuza Like a Dragon, still in the first chapter. When wandering around, I have frequent hitches. I have tried several graphical settings to no avail. Any suggestions are appreciated.

My specs are as follows:

Operating System: Windows 11 Home
Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K
Memory: 32768MB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
GPU driver version: 536.67
Game is installed on an SSD

There is some material at PCGamingWiki that might be useful. Unfortunately, I cannot provide the direct link because the GOG forum does not parse the hyperlink correctly. Look up the game there and refer to the "Issues Fixed" section.

Beyond that, you are probably best off searching Reddit and the applicable Steam community for suggestions. I have seen others complain of frame rate pacing issues, though I have no direct experience of it. The only thing I would add is that it might be worth trying DXVK, which is a Direct3D wrapper that will translate D3D11 calls to Vulkan calls.

Also, try ensuring that the frame rate is capped at 60 in the game's settings.
