When I load my game from the last save (escaping the FBI building, towards the beginning of the game), it begins playing normally and then suddenly slows down almost to a halt. Even the menu, the sound, etc. I force quit the game and it seems to be hogging up the CPU. It had been running totally fine yesterday, I'm wondering if loading from that particular checkpoint is causing some bug? Any advice?

There's a bug in FBI's checkpoint part (upper floor), try not to reload from that checkpoint because it makes the game freeze to a crawl. What you can do is press F2 and type SWITCHLEVEL Banque01 and press enter, it'll start from the beginning of the Bank level. Reason why I'm not giving FBI's level code is because when you load FBI level from the console, you will lose sixth sense for the whole game. Try not to die on the upper floor, finish it in the first try to not encounter the issue.

haha thanks, glad it's just a bug with that level. I just downloaded the save from the rooftop and progressed from there, since I had already gotten to that point previously when I didn't know you actually had to F5 at the checkpoints. Wow, a lot of workarounds but otherwise an awesome game.

EDIT: and yes, it was the "upper floor" checkpoint right when you're about to open the double doors!

To be honest the game is an underrated gem, we all know this, but at times it really shows that it's a Ubisoft game with it's weird glitches and unpolished areas. Still worth it though in my opinion. Have fun!
