Whenever I load a savefile, the game freezes and wont play. Any help here?

Hi,
your savegames might be broken. You should ask a friend to load them up on a working PC and see, if that's the case.
If you have no idea otherwise, you should browse to your XIII installation and look for the file XIII.log and post its content here to analyze it. There are the last records of what happened before the freeze.

It started working again, don't know why. May have been an installation error.
