DId anyone else encountered problem using XIIIed in GOG version 32942?

When trying to run editor under Win7 x64 the error window shows saying:

Procedure entry point _GCurrentCDInd @@ 3HA could not be found in the Core.dll dynamic link library.

This definitely says the core.dll build version and core.u compiled version does not match (technically it might be some functions defined in uscript had been moved from/to different "core" package resulting in change in function pointer table). So either my installation got corrupt or patching by GOG did screw something up in the patching process.
Could anyone confirm same behaviour of the editor?

Thanks.

Hi,

the Official XIII Patch 1.3 is known to cause problems with the editor. You have to either install a non-patched version from elsewhere or apply the latest inofficial patch on top: https://www.moddb.com/games/xiii/downloads/xiii-all-in-one-installer

Both alternatives use earlier DLLs that make the editor work again, the patch additionally fixing other not-so-obvious issues.

Kind regards

Thank You kindly. sad thing is I was right about my suspicion on GOG screwup (did encountered simmilar problems with editor - rather missing completely from GOG releases of UT99 GOTY and Clive barkers Undying).

Will download the patch form moddb.

I don't know about the other releases but in this case I wouldn't call it a GOG screwup as the editor has been already broken in the latest official patch back in 2003/2004 and they can't fix what was never working. And considering the game's source belongs to a new publisher and no contact to the original developers involved it's literally impossible to do something about that these days without breaking anything else.

OK then, my appology. I did not know the last official nonGOG release was already screwed.
