For those of us not using Steam who don't want to wait until GOG finally delivers on this update, this quote from the above release thread may be of interest:

I'm currently using X:CE and would recommend it - not just for fixes but the other stuff it brings to the table as well...

Lets hope the official patch appears here rather sooner than later.

The Galaxy installed version of this game is broken for 1.65 presently. I've filed the above mantis bug report and a support ticket to get GOG folk on to fixing it. In the mean time use the standalone installer as it works fine.
