Is the PC version of this game the Mega Drive/Genesis version in a dedicated emulator? Is the ROM available in the game archive?

According to the Steam community forum the PC version doesn't directly use the Mega Drive ROM, so it's not included with the PC build.

Too bad. A friend of mine still has his old Sega Mega Drive. Would have been fun to gift him a ROM of Xeno Crisis.

edit: to clarify: an image of one. I doubt GoG starts shipping cartridges for vintage game consoles now. ;-)

It would be much appreciated if the devs could add the Mega Drive ROM as a bonus for old school gaming fans.
A price tag of 18€ should justify that addon in my opinion.

You can buy the rom on their site. I think (just assuming here) the reason the price is so high is because all the money they spent making MD cartridges and Dreamcast discs, etc.

Nope. The PC version of Xeno Crisis is its own game.

The MD ROM of Xeno Crisis can be purchased at Bitmap Bureau's site and runs great on Kega Fusion (Win/Mac/Linux). The MD ROM should also run fine on cart adapters like the Everdrive. Bitmap Bureau even carries the ROM for the Sega Dreamcast version of Xeno Crisis, as well as the Dreamcast disc and Neo Geo cart. Agreed. Especially considering Tanglewood included a MD ROM with the PC purchase.

I bought this game after I saw the Evercade was getting a cartdrige with Xenocrisis and, indeed, I would prefer to play it on a Genesis ROM instead of installing the game.

IMSHO adding the ROM makes the game worth more.

It's a professional courtesy to reward gamers for financial support.

It always jarates me when pirates get more than paying customers...
