Ok so i purchased the game here and installed it. Tried to start it and says I need framework 3.5. Problem is...my computer (win10, i5 2400, gtx 1050 ti, 12g ram)...does NOT have internet. I tried downloading the offline 3.5 package from Microsoft (via my phone) and installing it. Got the same message saying i need 3.5 to install 3.5 (lol). Did some searching and found that supposedly i need a win10 disk in my diskdrive to allow win10 to put in this old framework. Of course i dont have a physical disk because i bought this rig with win10 preinstalled...no disk.

Does anyone have a workaround for this irritation...or am i going to have to download a win10 image and burn it to disk? I figured if i was downloading the game from gog...the program would have had this all sorted out or included the necessary files needed...but I'm guessing not.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: downloaded win10 iso...transferred it to my computer...mounted it. Opened a cmd prompt and did the "DISM" command...xcom works now...

As others have pointed out, only the launcher needs .NET and you can bypass this by running XComEW.exe directly (in the subfolder XEW\Binaries\Win32)..
