Hi,

I will mention from the start that I own the steam version of XCOM - Complete Pack, but I've decided to ask the following question here first.

I've noticed that, at some points, a checkered grid pattern could be seen on certain effects. For example on the heavy floater jet effect. You can see the small 16px squares pattern in the attached image.

Has anyone encountered this ?
I also want to mention that I've changed my graphics card to a 1050 gtx, with the previous 550 ti I did not have this problem.

Thank you in advance.

If you have it on Steam, then my recommended first step is to run the Steam verification on the game files. Assuming you updated your graphics drivers after replacing your GPU, then I suspect something like the shader cache might be the cause of the problem. A verification of files by Steam should reset them and force the game to rebuild them for your current setup. I don't have the game installed right now, via Steam or GOG, so I can't do any checks to see if this makes sense specifically for XCOM, but it can work for many other games.
I've tried the Steam verification but it did not help, I've also tried to reinstall the game.

I have attached a new example of the problem on a swamp level where the issue can be seen better.
