here's dumb question #3 in a series of 10,000

i haven't yet seen anything about refueling my little starter ship - is it automatically done when docking, or what?

call it a case of ex-Elite Dangerous nerves, but i have been batting around in that little fighter for a while now, and if it needs refueling then it will probably be running on fumes soon

google doesn't show much, which leads me to think it does NOT need refueling, but i'm taking no chances...


----> just in case someone says "it's in the tutorials..." - they seem a bit buggy for me, and often quit partway through or stall or crash outright.

I liked refuelling in Elite, but yea it was dangerous. I had to call the fuel rats twice to bail me out and that`s only online. If you`re offline you are screwed.

I think assuming you`re automatically fueled on landing works, though I wish there was some kind of small payment. For such a complex game it`s funny that fuelling does not exist.

every ship i run in ED has a fuel scoop, even if it's just a little class 1A type - but even then, i have heard the "main tank drained" alert a few times more than i'd like

You learn to use a fuel scoop after the first couple of messes!
