Could someone tell me what I need to do so large ships can dock at my stations L dock. They keep flying around the dock. They can dock at npc stations. For now i'll go back to medium ships.

It is hard to guess what might be the issue here. Did you make sure that there is enough room to dock at your station?

I hope there is enough room. Could it be that I need to put more base modules between the station and the 3-dock?

I kinda get the oppiset.. On mine sometimes my large ships When Undocking Get stuck on the Undocking command.. only fix seems to be a reload, which is pretty annoying, doesn't happen often (but I don't dock L ships often cause of it)
and has been happening Since the beginning of release..

Adding more base modules between the dock and station doesn't change anything. I'll stick to medium ships till they fix this. Thanks for the help :)
