I read alot about Nvidia issues here in the forum. So, I downloaded the latest version of Nvidia drivers (417.22). As soon as I run the program it crashes.

Basically, I cannot play the game until Nvidia comes out with some kind of fix. I have basically gave up trying to run the game for days. I tried turning off "vertical sync" and turned on "triple buffering" (plus all other kinds of combinations) in the Nvidia Control Panel.

[update]

I fixed the problem. I totally forgot that I had an AMD card 2 years ago before my Nvidia. I re-read the fixes for crashes and deleted the following file:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\amd-vulkan64.json

Happy you fixed it and thanks for letting us know how for other Nvidia users.

Ah, an age old problem. Before the recommendation was a most thorough deletion of the old drivers before installing new ones, even if just updating your drivers. That should not be needed anymore but as you have found out, it still is needed when changing card, especially between Nvidia and AMD.

Thank you for returning to tell what the problem AND its solution were.
