Someone in one of the reviews mentioned a virus was found in the files of x3 installer. Whats that about?

I'm curious as well. Given the review was back in Nov. 2015 it makes me wonder if there still IS a virus on the download. Plus there are a few details the user's review didn't address:

1.) The user never mentioned what virus was detected.
2.) Why does he not recommend Norton or McAfee?

Almost certainty a false positive. Windows Defender didn't trigger on anything, and GOG scans the stuff.

False positive, as usual. I get so many false positives, these days, that I think the virus scanners are almost useless, nowadays.

Thought that might be the case,
