2 big questions. The first is when I run the ./start.sh I get this error:
Computer:~/GOG Games/X3 Terran War Pack$ ./start.sh
Running X3: Terran War Pack
Language detected: English
./X3TC_config: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I've been googling around trying to figure out how to find this file and get it installed. One post said to download the libgtk2.0-0 file and install it, so I tried to do that but the computer tells me that the newest version is already installed and nothing get's upgraded.
I also saw a post saying that to remove the LIB folder, so I tried just renaming that (rather than deleting it), but that didn't make any difference either.
I'm not sure what else to try with this.
I can run the x3tc_main file manually and the game will run, but I don't get the config menu. If I trun the x3tc_config file absolutely nothing happens. I get this:
computer:~/GOG Games/X3 Terran War Pack/game$ dir
01.cat 10.cat Online\ Registration.url
01.dat 10.dat res.dat
02.cat 11.cat scripts
02.dat 11.dat soundtrack
03.cat 12.cat t
03.dat 12.dat test_txc
04.cat 13.cat test_X3AP_config
04.dat 13.dat test_X3AP_main
05.cat addon test_X3TC_config
05.dat background2ap.jpg test_X3TC_main
06.cat background2.jpg uninst
06.dat dds X3AP_config
07.cat Documents X3AP_main
07.dat gamepad.png x3files.xml
08.cat lang.dat X3TC_config
08.dat lib X3TC_main
09.cat loadscr x3tc_manual_us_low_online.pdf
09.dat mov
computer:~/GOG Games/X3 Terran War Pack/game$ ./X3TC_config
bash: ./X3TC_Config: No such file or directory
The funny thing is that it says the file doesn't exist, but you can see it right in the directory list.
The reason I wanted to run the config file was that I have 2 monitors and I don't like the way the game comes up split over the two, with the center of the game being right at the split between the 2 monitors.
Can someone tell me how to remove that and only run on 1 monitor? I've been googling like crazy and haven't been able to figure that out. In case you couldn't tell I'm new to linux and still learning as I go.
Thanks.
