This is a quick walkthrough of how to install the official X3 Bonus Packs for both X3TC and X3AP in "X3: Terran War Pack" on a Mac (Apple OS X).

=Assumptions=
(1) You are using a Mac (Apple OS X).
(2) You have installed "X3 Terran War Pack.app".
(3) You have downloaded "x3tc_bonus_package_4.1.01.exe".
(4) You have downloaded "X3AP_Bonus_Pack_5.1.0.0.exe".
(5) You have Wine/Wineskin/Crossover/etc. installed to run the exe files.
I won't cover how to use a terminal or wine here, so if you aren't familiar with the process you'll have to look that up elsewhere.
I used an empty Wineskin wrapper, but a straight "wine" call or running via Crossover should work just as well.
Note: The created unstallation executables (unins000.exe) -DO NOT- correctly remove Bonus Pack files. If you want a clean copy of X3, re-extract the DMG file.
=Instructions=
(1) Open a terminal.
(2) Create a symbolic link to "X3 Terran War Pack.app/Contents/Resources/game" directory.
* Without this link you will not be able to select the correct game directory for installation, as OS X Finder won't allow you to select a subdirectory of an APP file for installation.
> $ ln -s "/Applications/X3 Terran War Pack.app/Contents/Resources/game"
(3) In the linked directory create an empty file called "x3tc.exe".
* The file must exist or the installer won't run.
> $ touch game/x3tc.exe
(4) Run the X3TC Bonus Pack installer (x3tc_bonus_package_4.1.01.exe) using your wine implementation.
(5) When asked for your X3 installation directory, select the "game" directory symbolic link you created earlier.
(6) Complete the Installation.
(7) Run the X3AP Bonus Pack installer (X3AP_Bonus_Pack_5.1.0.0.exe) using your wine implementation.
(8) When asked for your X3 installation directory, select the "game" directory symbolic link you created earlier.
* It will automatically append the "addon" directory to your path.
(9) Complete the Installation.
(10) Delete the previously created "game" symbolic link and the empty "x3tc.exe". Also, optionally, you may delete the uninstaller files, as they don't seem to work correctly anyway.
=Test=
(1) Open X3: Terran Conflict
(2) Start a new game as a "Humble Merchant"
* You will be started in sector "Herron's Nebula"
(3) Open the sector map by pressing period (.)
(4) Use the down arrow key to scroll down to "Free Argon Trading Station"
(5) Press the U key (or the Enter key twice) to open station information
(6) If the bonus pack mods worked, the last few items available will contain:
* Commodity Logistics Software MK1
* Commodity Logistics Software MK2
(7) Repeat the process with X3: Albion Prelude (it has a similar Humble Merchant
start). The Commodity Logistics Software should be similarly available.
