Ok, I don't mean "how do you play" as far as mechanics go or strategy/tactics. I mean from a story point.
So, I've installed X3:TWP and I've got two icons on my desktop, one for the original game and one for Albion Prelude. But there's only one manual, for the original game.
What I want to know is, do I need to play the original game first--and go through the whole story--and then start Albion Prelude to get that story? Or since Albion Prelude is, well, a 'prelude,' can I play that from the start and after finishing that story, will it automatically lead into the story of the original game? Also, are any enhancements that AP added to the game, ONLY available by running AP, or were the enhancements added to the original game as well?
With some games, the add-on packs allow you to continue and/or start the original game story seamlessly with the new content. With others, the add-ons are basically new stories--that is, nothing carries over from the original game and you are basically starting over. Since there is no AP manual, I can't tell which way it is. I would prefer to play both stories seamlessly where I don't have to start all over again from square one, but need to know if that's possible.
