Why the hell we need to use 3rd party fixes for an old game in a site called good old games?!
I have news for the Polaks running this site: YOUR SUPPOSED TO MAKE OLD GAMES WORK ON MODERN SYSTEMS!!! Then you sell them, that's the whole point of your business!
Wth are you trying to pull here? a scam?

Because they didn't get the legal right to do so. They're allowed to distribute, but not modify games UNLESS they get EXPLICIT permission from the rightsholder.

Also, welcome to retro PC gaming. You'll always need to tinker with the games to get them running. Take it or leave it.

When a business is selling a product it should work right from the box, if they don't have permission to modify it they shouldn't be selling it.
Also I own more than 1k retro games all over the platforms never modified even one they all work flawlessly.

Think of it this way. I give you a copy of Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System, and leave you with that. If you want to get the FM synthesis working, that's just something you'll have to figure out on your own.

Also, you precious child, this game was heck to run back when it was contemporary. And I hope you can figure out how to get a game like Interstate 76 running, cause that game is running on some black box voodoo, relying on graphical calls that have long ceased to exist.

(This, among other reasons are why a lot of people prefer Armegeddon, because it is still supported.)

Wth are you talking about sonny Jim, Interstate 76 running perfectly fine for me, right from the GOG launcher.
Gimme a break I played these games probably before you were even born, so listen to the more elderly and wise: when a business sells a product this product by law needs to work as described.

Try the Worms 2+ Patch.

Thanks for trying to help your intentions are good but sadly you missed the point, yes I already managed to run the game via the Worms 2 plus patch prior to this thread, but I wrote this post especially for the owners of GOG to see, they are exposed to massive lawsuit precedent by breaking the consumer protection law and selling a non functional product while claiming it is.

Yeah, keep living in fantasy land.

I'm just going to shrug. I'm over here in the Land of Linux, running games like I'm a card dealer.

As far as I know, GOG has a return policy of 30 days. If your game does not work and they can't fix it, you can ask your money back. With this they comply with all consumer protection laws.

https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011314978-How-do-I-refund-a-game-?product=gog Thanks for that tip! Was not aware of this patch bundle. Going to try it our soon!

I agree, and must be the reason this game is not available on Steam, it's simply broken without patches, and the worst offender is the GOG Launcher/player thing that just hangs on every Windows 7/10 machine I've tested so far, and that's what the shortcut points by default. Makes me wonder if they even tested this thing before shipping.

Did GOG fix this game?
I was thinking to buy it, but it looks like there are issues, aren't there?
