I've made an INF file by copying and renaming another one and setting the numeric options up top. The game loads the default stuff regardless. Help?

My guess would be that you forgot to set notepad to "All files" before hitting save, appending an invisible ".txt" to the filename.
Nope. Any other ideas? :(

The INF in your ahouse level works. I've changed the background a few times and it is reflected properly in the game.

Weird, I see what you mean, but when I set the water to "fire" it doesn't seem to work? What am I doing wrong? Bah, I'm so bad at this, haha.
Can't try it now (work), but the best way to do it is through the palette anyway. Look at the custom.txt in the docs folder.
Yup, I figured out how to play with the palette. So I make things in paint, convert them in GIMP, use GFXCON, then open them in photoshop to remap specific parts of the palette. Eesh.
