Pretty straightforward question, really...

I know WWP Remastered has both local hotseat and online multiplayer via T17's servers.

However, does it have LAN multiplayer, as Worms Armageddon did? If I bought two copies, could a game be played between two PCs on the same network without needing an internet connection?

Haven't seen this answered anywhere, apologies if it was covered.

Hello,

There is a section with LAN. So it's there. If it works is another thing :P... Game is kind of a mess, a lot of issues. My advice? Don't buy it. I think the original might be better with some tweaking.

I have issues with black screen after the intro logo's. After exiting a match I get a black square and need to task end the process. I have quite some lag to. I don't even get 60 FPS with a mid to high end PC. People report that sometimes having crashes when worms hit the water.

Anyway, LAN is there :P...

Sincerely,

Lifell

EDIT: Some screenshots. Don't know why xD

Thanks for the info!

I sort of got the feeling there were bugs by browsing some of the other threads... so, yes, I think I'll probably give it another week and see if things are any better by then. :D
Thank you for the screenshots, Lifell00!
Hmmm.. I don't see "Join via IP" there.
Is "playing over team17's servers" also working without Galaxy installed?

I honestly don't see why not =]. GOG Galaxy doesn't maintain or host the servers. Team17 does. There is no real difference with the GOG Galaxy or not Galaxy version of Worms Remastered. They both connect to WormNet I believe it's called.

Only thing GOG Galaxy does at the moment for Worms Remastered is auto update, achievements, rollback (so far as I know) and playtime counter.

Steam is slightly different because it uses (I think) steam cards and other stuff but also connects to Team17 servers within the game.

If the WormNet thing works for you, for some it does not however. Game issues I suppose =[... I honestly haven't tried. I'm hoping for a refund because I seem to have 4 different kind of crashes.
