Hermit does not lower Doom or Reason when let go. (Note: The times I've tried this, he had been acquired via "Enthrallment" spell.)

Maybe you should inform the dev himself on the Discord channel associated to this game ;-)
There is a bug report section and devs answer very quickly.

They have a google doc where the Steam community is tracking bugs per version. So you can check if yours was already logged, or add it to the growing list.

I don't think you need to have the steam version to add your bugs either! Hope this helps!
