Hello peeps,

I bought this game a few days ago and i just finished the SP campaign, now when i wanted to play the MP i got asked for the CD key, i thought it was refering to the serial number, but i found out that my Serial key is depleted.

Help and i'll send you a cookie.

Did you figure this out? If not, go to your account page and click on the game in your library (if this doesn't work through Galaxy, try through your browser). Click on the MORE tab, then choose Serial Keys. Your key should show up there.

If this is what you're referring to with your comment about your serial key being 'depleted' (not sure what you mean by this), then contact Support.

I looked at older posts and the official word is that since the World in Conflict servers are offline forever, there's no need to use cd keys. The only way to play this game with others is over a LAN network.

But that isn't a problem.
A) there are online solutions to this problem that'll allow LAN play online. Just need to google it.
B) You can do single player skrmishes on LAN by filling up all the other positions as Bots.

Just go to local play -> Create server/game -> Add bots -> Advanced options. From there you can dictate what roles the bots will play and what their AI difficulty will be.

Go nuts.

If you want to find your cd key. Go to RUN, type regedit then click edit, then find, type in world in conflict. If you dont see it when it finds world in conflict, do it again and it should show it. Make sure when you open regedit, before you do the search, click the 1st in the list called "computer". Or you can go the exact location, click HKEY_CURRENT_USER, SOFTWARE, then MASSIVE ENTERTAINMENT AB. You will see world in conflict, click it then on the right you will see your cd-key.

You are both full of crap. I see not witcher 3 cd key.

Also it's not a The Witcher 3 thread ;) It might keep it somewhere else (if at all).

I saw screens in other topics where there actually was cdkey option in "more" menu in GOG Galaxy. Since Massgate is dead, GOG probably just removed them all togheter since they don't make much sense anymore.

As for registry entries it probably was available there once someone did type it in in game or maybe original/older version kept it there. Hard to say. I'd have to dig out my DVD copy of the game to check that but I'm too lazy ;)

Since it won't connect to official servers any key passing basic validation that game client does will probably do. You still won't be able to use "online" option to connect to Massgate. It is however possible to run your own Massgate server. It's open source on github. One could disable key verification in the source code to completely ignore "fake" or repeated keys. Not sure though if anyone keeps any openly accessible server online.
