Hi, I've seen alot of people having this error when playing the game. When running this game at max settings at HD or higher resolutions I found that I encountered the "Run out of Memory" crash.

To fix it I used a free program called "Large Address Aware" which basically allows the games exe files to use more than 2GB of memory. Run the program, browse to the games directory and locate the WIC.exe file. Check the box that says "Allow this application to use more than 2GB" option.

Apply then run the game. Since doing that I haven't encountered this error again.
It works fof me too.
Thanks for advice

Can confirm it works

You can use any tool as long it enables the wic.exe to have the LAA flag

Hi there,

i have recently bought this game and used this mod on to the file.
My game just wont start up after i choose the wic and the complete edition exe files with "Large adress aware".

Does anyone know what the problem might be then ? Thanx
Thanks for the Large Address Aware utility, this worked for me when every cutscene was crashing, couldn't even get to mission 2. Cheers!
I tried to flag the "Large Address Aware" option with the free program, but now the game can't start unless I repair the executable (but than the memory message returns). I have also tried to flag the option via editbin, but the issue persists.

EDIT - I've found the solution in an old forum: after allowing the game to use more than 2 GB of RAM, in order to be able to start it, it is necessary to select the game folder, right click on it and remove the tick from "Read only"

works for me too
I have the same issue, but after using LAA game just won't start (with unmarked read only in the game folder)
Any possible solution ?
