I've been playing Wonder Girl: The Dragon's Trap lately, and while the game works fine for the most part, it does not recognize my controller.

My OS is Debian Stretch (current stable) and the controller is a wired Xbox 360 controller. The kernel does recognize the controller, and it works in Shovel Knight, but not in this game.

Any idea what the problem is?

Bumping due to a technical issue with the forums (that makes recently posted topics not make the board marked as having new posts).
Solved it. I had to add my user to the "input" group, and then restart X.org (which was a pain, because it meant having to restart the browser).

(Of course, I unfortunately can't mark this question as "SOLVED" because I'm the only poster in this topic (so far), and I can't mark my own post as the solution.)
Hello,

Good to hear it is solved. May I suggest to rename your topic title to include "Linux" so other Linux users are more likely to find it? Linux and Mac support are generally provided by Ethan Lee (flibit), I have to admit being clueless with Linux technical issues of that sort myself :/ haven't used Linux in a long while.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for an ordinary user to rename topics on this forum; only a blue can do that.

By the way, this *is* a rather nice remake of a game I didn't play when it was released. I especially like the new music (even if I can nitpick and point out one particular section of one track where it is hard to hear the melody because it is so much quieter than the piano at that point).
