Hi. Several months ago, i bought this game, applied the unofficial patch (modernizing it), and played it 25% through. Then I stopped.

Just earlier today, I started playing it again and now get "G_Savegame Cannot Open File for Saving" when I start a new game up.

I googled for a solution, and all I got were a bunch of suspicious looking websites that seems to want me to register for something. Naturally, I did not register, nor do I intend to. There's even a wiki page with bad english on it endorsing a suspicious-looking link to fix RtCW.

My question is, is this a known issue? Has anybody else encountered this error message preventing them from playing this game? I'd love to play it, but not to the extent of risking a virus.

Yeah the saving system seems broken, there is only one save, the 1st we make, all others don't count.
