So far I've seen the initial startup take over a minute.
This one isn't much of a problem, as many other games take awhile to start up... however....
Switching quality levels in the graphics settings menu blackscreens the game and takes over a minute.
Combined with this one, it is a problem.
If you are preloading everything at startup, then changing the graphics details shouldn't take that long.
If you cannot dynamically do it without reloading the whole graphics base, I suggest making it do the actual graphics loading only at start up and telling the player they need to restart to apply changes.
Then at least it's not sitting at a black screen for minutes on end.
Actual in-game loading is very fast. :-)
