when entering dragonspire and pulling the lever, the door takes over an hour to close. every 10 seconds or so i will see it move a fraction, then i wait.

Same problem in the sunken city, the revolving door, the one you need the glowing crystals for, when i got to it and put the crystal in, the door took over an hour to rotate open and i keep drowning waiting for it to rotate.

Turned game off and back on, did a clean install, still with the same issue.

anyone have any idea?

is it a possible graphics issue?

or just one of those "hellifiknow" bugs?

thanks

Hi fatochre,

I had the same problem with the revolving door and solved it with backward swimming along the sides of the chamber with my oomphaz samurai activated. It seems to have pushed the wall.

I had this problem with an original double CD version of the game under Windows 7 64bit. I had this problem anew wth the gates to the pyramd. However, I have a Win98 installation running in an emulator. In that installation the same version worked just fine. So, in my oppinion, it is a problem, that is system specific.

Meanwhile I have bought the Gog version (it is on sale) and did not have these issues with the Gog version.

thanks for your reply. i have the GOG version as well. i am willing to accept that it is a system specific issue, I will try your backwards swimming trick though. If that does it i will put you on blast as the smartest person around.

i hope its not a system issue though, i am windows 10.

edit,
went back and started the savegame, i had just started a new game, anyway, after two weeks of letting it alone, it works like a charm. i think your good thoughts did the trick
