ive got the holy relic but everytime i go n to give it to G'Ezzered ,i cant get back out of the castle . the door that i need to use locked behind me . I want to go to Mada maggig and the vampires but i cant get back to the elevator...what am i missing. where do i go

After you give the Relic to the lich, something should start happening. Some others will appear in the room, there's a bit of dialogue, etc. The lich should leave an item behind for you. The room exit should re-open. If this doesn't happen, you can try attacking him and waiting to see if the dialogue will trigger. You can also try propping the door open with a large object (necessary if you want to kill him, or if the door simply doesn't open back up). It's also possible to leave a portal near the dungeon entrance before handing in the relic, since your indoor portals are stored differently than exterior. If all else fails, this dungeon is not actually necessary (to complete the game) if you acquired the Mavin.
