it seems the game starts in full screen mode only, there is any way to paly it in window mode?

You just have to set the app a bit differently.

This guide doesn't work on my PC (DXWnd instantly crashes every time I "test" the settings or try to launch the game). But if anybody else is still wondering how to play unsupportive games in window mode, I found that a virtual machine will solve this problem very nicely. The freely available VMware player is all you need (and an operating system to install on it, of course).

I know this is a very old thread but I'm having trouble getting the game to work in windowed mode via DXWnd and following the instructions posted.

The game works but it always starts in Full Screen mode which really creates havoc with my 3-monitor setup (other windows and desktop icons get completely messed up when any different resolution other than desktop's uses dedicated Full Screen)

I would use a virtual machine but the problem is that Windows allow only one usage of the virtualisation and that is taken by Kaspersky.

Any help will be appreciated as the game is completely unusable to me in its current state.
