I always make a quick party to learn a game, then delete them and start again knowing better what I want. I got through the oracle, and then dropped everybody and started again. Only now the oracle will not recognize the new chosen one. I hit the restart button a couple of times, and have tried 3 new partys. every time same result. Does it have to be a particular class or race or something? Is there a different way to restart? I like the game, but I am ready to move forward

It's possible to complete the game with all race and class combinations solo.

Have you definitely "Reset Adventures", removing all quest items and levels for the characters? Just deleting them won't work, you need to trigger Gareth re-appearing and every other quest resetting. You can keep the same party and level them up again, keeping the bonus HP & skills for your time.

In any case, make sure you also have the Signet of the Mavin from the ghost.

If these steps already apply, there are ways to bypass the Oracles completely. One is by scaling over the trees with ample usage of stacking Toad Village crates, then sprint-jumping off the top of them. Another is to cast Vanish in a very particular spot (which I haven't yet been able to replicate - but it is posted on Ironworks). Yet another is "tree-surfing" all the way from Valeia gate to over the cave, but this one is extremely time-consuming.

Hello! After you speak to the Ghost of Nivius in the crypt, make sure you pick up the Signet of the Mavin next to his corpse in his tomb and have one of your characters wear it (for example, your Wizard). When you approach the Oracles in the Caves of Ishad N'Ha, make sure your Wizard is selected for speaking to the Oracle in the middle. Only this way will the Oracle recognize you as the chosen one, because your Wizard is the one wearing the Signet. I hope this helps!

I wanted to start the game without my old chars. so I uninstalled then dug out the left over saved in gog directory then reinstall it works when if you ever wish to play again.
