I bought this a while back, it didn't run for me at the time and I tried again with a fresh GoG install where it would not run.

Last time I had this game running was on an XP build from another site which has mod files for the game.

I thought GoG tested old games and patched them to run, this is the only game in my GoG library which just doesn't work.

Any advice?

Win 7 64 SP1
FX-8350 @ 4.0Ghz
16GB RAM @ 1866 Mhz
GTX 970 Strix 4Gb VRAM
Xonar 5.1 Sound
GSkill 7.1 headset

The game has a lot of bugs and glitches, but not starting at all is at least not a common issue in the gog-version as far as I know. Did you try the troubleshooting suggestions found in the support page?
