Steps to replicate crash:
Enter Crypt (the very first dungeon in the game), near beginning of the crypt there are broken stairs. Go down these stairs and there will be room with Slime Oozes (usually it is them in that room), after killing them go to the passage on your left - there will be dead end right under those stairs. Bumping in this dead end caused my game to crash twice.

I attached Map of that section of Crypt, crash happens at point B when you approach it from the western passage.

Also I crashed by bumping unto one of crosses in graveyard. it seems that some objects with non-standard geometry (being under an angle) can provoke crash.

Can anyone else test that passage in the crypt?

Also, anyone knows by any chance, if it can be fixed by some means or you just have to deal with that?

Sorry, i can't reproduce the crash. I only managed to get myself stuck in there so badly while trying to make it crash, i had to reload. :D

Maybe there is another detail needed to make it crash there I am missing?

Additional details, which might have impact:

1. I run game in Software mode
2. I don't have any compatibility mode checked for deep6.exe file.
3. My party was humans-only (different races have different heights, and it has impact on the game too).
4. No additional patches installed (I know there is fanmade patch, but it changes too much mechanics from original game).

Ok, I switched to software mode, I have the same patch level and also have no compatibility mode selected for deep6.exe. Only thing that differs (aside from our systems) is that I play a single elf character who has a different height (i think she is a bit taller than humans, her head always seems to bang the ceiling in dungeons). No crashes.

Strange. Perhaps you could try it with human just to check? I had crash with solo human.

I will reinstall this game later and will see how it works. But it is strange that crash happens at one same place, and I think I remember having crash after bumping into graveyard's cross 17 years ago with original disks too.

This place in crypt is out of the way, so not all people bump into it (you really need to bump in the wall in that passage. It bugs me because it causes repeatable crash.

I added a human to my party and re-visited the place. No crash. It would be interesting to test out your savegame here on my system to see if it is something in there. BTW do you get the crash in the D3D modes too?

I reinstalled the game and made a run to that place in Crypt and... it didn't crash :D

But then I tripped over some rock (or whatever was on the floor) and it crashed :O

I attached picture of where exactly it happens. You probably need to look at that same direction and walk around until you bump into something on the floor.

Savefile is here just in case (I couldn't atatch it here even by changing its extension to jpg/png) It is at town exit but it is quick run from there.

Savegame contains "altered character (I added some gold and Exp for quick run to Crypt). I had crashes with normal party before, so it isn't because of hex-editing character.

i moved back to the crypt to that place with your savegame and could not reproduce a crash. I got your picture and tried to look in the same direction - nothing happened. But i got stuck (again) in the same place. There is a skeleton and parts on the rib-cage (?) stuck out on the floor which makes movement somewhat clunky. But aside from getting stuck, the game continues working. Strange.

Yes I think that's those skeleton parts which made me stuck with crash.

Would be got if someone else also try to check that place. I even saved crash report in case someone can help with it, i Translated it from Russian, so forgive for some technical mistranslation:
