On the Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls product page it mentions:
"The PC remaster of this classic originally released for PlayStation 3 features English and Japanese text with the original Japanese voiceovers, high-resolution graphics, and a brand new Turbo Mode to make exploring the game’s massive dungeons a breeze. All story DLC is included, and players can download the Growth Fruit DLC for free to give themselves a boost when creating characters."
What is the Growth Fruit DLC and where do I have to download it from?

The installler is found on the game download screen.

When you create a character, the character is given a random number of bonus points that you can allocate to their stats. Growth Fruit can be used to add 5 more bonus points at character creation, but note that each one can be used only once (unless you reinstall the game). You can use multiple growth fruits on the same character; this can be useful if, for example, you really want to start with a Lord or Ninja and don't want to have to keep re-rolling.

With that said, this DLC only matters early in the game; as you level up, your characters will eventually max all their stats anyway.

(Note, however, that unlike classic Wizardry race *does* matter long-term; the stat cap (before factoring in equipment) is equal to the base amount for the race plus 10.)
Thank you for the information.

What an odd design decision.
