When hovering the mouse on the characters life points very small rectangle box can see some cursor "ghosting" effects in just that area.
The same effect appears during a lock picking attempts, the device has strange ghosting graphics when hovered over.
Again the same effects happen when talking to NPCs, this ghost effect happens to the text input box. This is very distracting and makes in hard to input stuff.

OSX High Sierra 10.13.4 using the latest version of WIZ8.
Also tried changing 3dconfig to different resolutions (deleting Nglide), using OpenGL, etc....The exact same thing happens.
Any ideas?

I am currently playing the game with no problems on El Capitan with the old W8 wrapper.
So that new updated W8 wrapper x high sierra are causing these graphic glitches.

Tested this mouse ghosting glitch (on a older OSX machine running 10.10) , same problem. It is definitely the new recent wrapper/update.
Any way to get the old version of gog Wizardry 8 file? Wish I had saved it...

FIXED!
You need to change Wineskin engines > up to WS9Wine version 2.3 everything works. No mouse ghosting problems when highlighting some text boxes. From around version 2.5 and up the problems still persist. Dialog input box, lockpicking graphics, life points ## next to bars etc... clogs up when doing a mouse over. Nothing gamebraking, just very annoying.
OSX High sierra 10.13.6

Hello, and sorry for replying to an old and solved post.

I am facing the same exact problem but I am using CrossOver instead, do you have any idea how I can fix the issue from my end, or if you can direct me to the sources that provided you with your solution.

Thanks in advance.
