Hello, I start play this great game again, but I forgot how to get some quest. The interaction with NPCs are not intuitive for me, it is interesting but not my cup of tea. I know I played this game with different language and when I put word "quest" npc give me quest. But maybe it was another game, it was too long ago.

Question is simple, how to get quest from NPC if they have some?

sometimes you ask about a 'job'... if they have a quest they want then that word should work

other times you have to hand them special items to gwt the quest, like a note
Most of the quests come from the T'rang and Umpani. For the T'rang, you need to find Z'ant. For the Umpani, it's Sgt. Balbrak.

WIth most of these, THEY will start things, you don't do anything per se.

For some of the others, you can examine what they tell you. For example, He'li will mention she'd like the ruffians cleared out, but that's not really a 'quest' per se.

The 2 smiths will craft special items if you find the right 'ingredients'....it's possible 'custom' will get you info on that.

I can think of 2 'jobs' where you have to ask...but there's no reason, really, to do them. But, yeah...try 'job.'

Last...Braffitt will reward you for a few different things. One's automatic; one's kinda obvious; and one is really strictly thinking about the roleplaying.
Side point.

I'm wondering if you're thinking of the later Might & Magic games, especially MM8. There's a ton of NPCs that offer up side quests, but they're mostly pretty obvious because there's no random conversation.
