I'm running a copy of Wiz8 on 64-bit Windows 10; the simple editor won't work even after I download TABCTL32..OCX. I tried putting the file in both the System32 and SysWOW64 folders; I even tried manually registering the file and got "Error Code 0x8002801c". Do any other players know how to make the Simple Wiz8 Editor run under Windows 10? Failing that, is there a compatible character editor that allows tweaking inventories (not just stats and skills)? I'd appreciate any technical help I can get.
the extra file needs to go in your "C:\Windows\System32" ... no where else!

on Windows systems you must restart before those system files will read so that is prob where you went wrong but if it still asks for the file after a restart then [right click] the wizedit.exe and select "run as admin"... once it finds the file the first time it should not ask again

p.s, the gog install is busted for windows and doesn't give you the basic character files | save game

if you want to make your own thats fine but you can also use these to get you started
http://www.nibbit.net/assets/wiz8.7z

the default path is C:\GOG Galaxy\Games\Wizardry 8
