*This post may contain spoilers* (Not sure if this is even necessary with how old this game is)
I'm curious to know if anyone's ever been stuck with progressing in the game and where it happened? I've been playing Wizardry 8 off and on for the past 10 years and there was plenty of areas where this happened to me. I'll feel like listing off some parts where I was stuck. With this first one being the longest.
1. Rapax Rift; I didn't know you could make that little part in those two tunnels collapse by interacting with the wooden plank on the ceiling. I went through the entire game just trying to figure out where to go. I even started a new party! I finally found it on accident a few weeks later.
2. Marten's Bluff #1; I missed that little area where you get that totem that triggers the Crock quest/missing party member. It's pretty well hidden if you think about it. Anyway I had to go over every area over again until I stumbled upon it by accident.
3. Marten's Bluff #2; This one was just semi-retarded of me. I didn't know you could interact with the catapult. I wasn't stuck on this one for very long but it still took me an hour or two to figure it out.
4. Arnika; Another bad one. I couldn't find the Mook. Looking back on it, it's quite funny due to how simple it is. At the time I was stuck I always ran around the building they're in from the same direction and I just NEVER noticed that little entrance. I searched Arnika high and low
Anyway I think these are reasons why this game is so great. It doesn't hold your hand and point everything out for you. You have to actually explore and think. Games don't really provide that type of challenge anymore.
