I was under the impression that there wasn't much in the way of ambient sound (or music) in Wiz 6, but after stepping into the main hall of the castle (initially), I'm hearing all kinds of goofy rustling/thumping noises. This is AFTER the gates have closed, too, so it's not that noise that I'm referring to. It has a similar quality to that kind of sound, but is non-stop.

Anyone else hear this? Is it normal? Thanks!
I got exactly the same problem. Maybe it is no problem at all?! Oô

Watch this video ... seems to be normal:

Thanks for the input. I have been playing with it for a few minutes, and setting the Audio to "Full/Off" or "Soft/Off" seems to have fixed the ambient sound. You still get the "Ow!" and other normal SFX, too. Seems like a solution. :)
This is perfectly normal. I think Sir-Tech were trying to make it sound like rats and other small critters were scurrying in the hallways, but went overboard with the frequency of it playing.
Yeah it's ambient sound. Which sounds will play depends on where you are. This is present in 7, too, where you can often hear the rustling of the wind in New City or the hoot of an owl in the forest. 6 is just kinda wonky in the speed department anyway, even at 3-4k cycles, so that's really the reason they play so often. Back on my 486 the ambient noise wasn't nearly so common.
