No, the DMG is read-only. Try actually installing it. Drag it onto Applications, eject the DMG and run the .app in Applications. Better yet install Wiz 7 DOS version(in the extras).

? How didn't it finish? It's simply decompressing and copying the .app to your hard drive. It might fail if the DMG is damaged, which it should complain about, or if you ran out of space. Perhaps you should send in a support ticket.

See that arrow in the background picture? Drag & drop the game onto the Applications folder. Now you can eject the DMG again (right-click the background image, eject), the game has been "installed". To play the game launch it from your Applications folder, where all your other applications are as well. It's the same process as for any other Mac app.

DMG stands for disc image, when you open a DMG file it's as if you inserted a CD or a USB drive into your computer. The image is read-only to ensure the distribution does not get messed up. You then copy the app from the disc image to your hard drive, usually to the Applications folder, but usually you can copy it anywhere with sufficient permissions. If you don't know what that means just use the Applications folder, that's what it was created for. You can then eject the disc image and throw it away or keep it as a backup somewhere.
