I have wizardry 8 on my Alienware notebook that uses windows 8.1. It won't start up. I have tried compatibility settings for Windows 8, Windows 7 and even Windows Vista or Windows XP to no avail. I have even run the 3d set up file to no avail. Anyone else have this problem and find a fix for it?

Do you get an error when starting the game?

I'm running on an Acer with AMD A10-5757M and Radeon HD 8650G/HD 8750M Dual Graphics and Windows 8.1. Game is running fine using nGlide. Nothing checked on the Compatibility tab. I also checked the Wiz 8 settings and the game is set to Glide at 800x600-16bit.
