I've just purchased wiz 6-8 and am trying wiz 6 first, of course.
However, i cannot equip or use lute on my Bard.
On equip screen i can get all but lute equipped. It stays gray.
I've put it in swag bag but can't use it, although some googled topics indicate this is possible.
I am sure i am missing something obvious, but started 2 characters and can't use/equip it.
I don't know if music is needed but don't see way to get that.

As often is the case, i resolved it. During fighting one chooses 'use' and selects lute.
