Is there any known formula to getting this amazing ability to proc more often? or is the ability based on chance?

I don't know of any formula for this. I'd say use a light weapon(samurai specific), keep your encumbrance light, use samurai armor, and maximize speed. Also make sure that the weapon skill is maximized and close combat is maximized.


It still will only happen very rarely. The only thing people seem to notice is the less total weight carried by the party, the more likely lightning strike is to happen. Others seem to think that the higher the level the high the rate of lightning strike.

Pretty sure the frequrency of Lightning Strike is not related to weapon and/or armor being samurai specific,
as e.g Fang and Bushido Blade produce rather the same amount,
not sure about armor but if so the advantage of samurai armor must be so small that it is eaten by the higher weight,
at least if compared to chamail+2 which i usually give to my Samurais.

Also exhaustion lvl appears to have some influence, so make sure stamina stays above 75%.
