I dun goofed, and I hope you can help me to ungoof it. I got a bad save. As in, I saved without thinking. My ranger is poisoned and I cant cure it. I only got three Lt. Heal. Potions. >.< So he keeps dying, I got two ressurection scrolls but behold. His death doesnt cure his poisoning so he revives with poison and then dies again. o.o

I tried to look up the saves in the hopes of maybe instead of rewriting the same save file it just makes a new one. But I fear thats not the case as I cant seem to find any save file assosiated with wizardy 6 except for the one in the wiz 6 folder simply called Savegame.DBS

Is that just a generic file or is that my actual save? ._. I could use a save game editor, but bleh. Its my own stupidity so I guess I should suck it up and create a new party if it cant be fixed. Which lead me to another question! How can I save a differnt party without having to overwrite this existing one? Incase I change my mind and want to alter the save anyway in the future.

Yes that is the savefile for your game and there is only the one.

However you can make a folder like backupsaves and move (or copy) it into there then make a new save... I had Savegame1 & 2 etc

You can also use BaneEdit to give yourself a cure poison potion.
Well, Wiz 8 DOES save any characters you create (you should see your characters in the roster of heroes when you fore up a new game), so you can either start over with the same party or use the Cosmic Forge Editor to hand yourself a potion as noted above.
Well, it could be worse...
When I played the Amiga version of Wiz 6 all those years ago, I saved right after setting off a fireball trap in the Pyramid, and then exited the game.
The next day when I loaded the game the same fucking fireball went off killing my already nearly dead party.
That was one of my most traumatic CRPG experiences and it took my another 20 years to complete the game.
You kids today have it too easy what with your fancy new Editors and whatnot.
