To what extend can you play Wizardry 8 with only the keyboard?

Can you use only keyboard in the main exploration? Can you do battles with only the keyboard? Can you do inventory management with only the keyboard?

it's needed.

Exploration = yes you can use only the keyboard,
Battles = yes but life is a lot better with a mouse.
Inventury = you need a mouse.

I'm not sure why you'd be using a system without a mouse nowadays, but if you have an injured hand or the like then playing with turn-based combat on means that there's no pressure to shift quickly between or simultaneously use both the keyboard and mouse.

Yeah I prefer keyboard because it is easier on the hands than a mouse is. A game like this, in which no precision is required and so on, would perfectly playable with only the keyboard. But I think I'm gonna bite it anyway...
